This Privacy Notice explains how the Association of Fashion & Textiles Courses (FTC) ("we", "us", "our") processes your personal data in connection with Futurescan 6: Shifting Paradigms, a conference hosted by Oxford Abstracts.

We are the data controller for personal data you provide, except where data is submitted through Oxford Abstracts in which case Oxford Abstracts acts as the data processor on our behalf.

Your data is collected and stored by Oxford Abstracts, who host the conference website, manage delegate registration, abstract submission and peer review, and author upload. FTC and Oxford Abstracts have a data processing agreement in place to ensure compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Data retention

FTC will retain your personal data for up to six (6) years after the conclusion of the conference to fulfil our administrative, financial, and legal responsibilities, in line with the retention periods supported by Oxford Abstracts’ services.

  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request erasure of your data in certain circumstances
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data
